The Tuttilove Mini Guide to What to See, Eat, Explore & Where to Stay
Barcelona is one of those cities that gives you a little bit of everything—beautiful architecture, incredible food, beaches, shopping, history, art, and plenty of opportunities for a memorable day trip.
Whether you're visiting for a long weekend or staying for a week, this Tuttilove Barcelona Travel Guide gives you a starting point for planning your trip without trying to fit absolutely everything into one itinerary.
5 Top Attractions You Shouldn't Miss

1. Sagrada Família
No first trip to Barcelona would be complete without seeing Antoni Gaudí's famous basilica. The incredible architecture, colorful light and intricate details make the interior just as impressive as the exterior.
2. Park Güell
Another unforgettable Gaudí experience. Wander through colorful mosaics, gardens and unusual architectural features while enjoying beautiful views over Barcelona.
3. Casa Batlló
Located along Passeig de Gràcia, Casa Batlló is one of Gaudí's most imaginative buildings. Its colorful façade and organic shapes make it one of Barcelona's most recognizable sights.
4. The Gothic Quarter
Give yourself time to simply wander. The Gothic Quarter's narrow streets, historic buildings, small plazas, shops and cafés make it one of the most enjoyable areas to explore on foot.
5. Montjuïc
Montjuïc is perfect for combining sightseeing with beautiful views. The area includes gardens, museums, cultural attractions, the Olympic area and Montjuïc Castle.
Tutti Tip: Don't try to see all five in one day. Give Barcelona room to breathe and enjoy the neighborhoods in between the major attractions.

⚽ Tutti's Extra Tip: Visit FC Barcelona

If you have time—and especially if you're traveling with a football fan—add FC Barcelona to your itinerary.
I visited the stadium with my husband, and it was such a fun experience to share together.
The current Barça experience is especially interesting because Spotify Camp Nou is undergoing its transformation. Visitors can experience the Barça Museum, interactive exhibits, a construction viewpoint and immersive experiences, while some tour options provide panoramic views of the stadium.
Tutti Tip: Even if you're not a huge football fan, consider adding it to your itinerary if you have an extra afternoon. It's a different side of Barcelona and a great experience to share as a couple or family.

👉 ✈️ Book the major attractions in advance
For popular attractions such as Sagrada Família and Park Güell, planning ahead can make your visit much easier.
Wear comfortable shoes
Barcelona is a walking city. You'll want comfortable shoes for the Gothic Quarter, Passeig de Gràcia and all those beautiful streets you'll inevitably want to explore.
Keep your belongings secure
As with many major tourist destinations, keep your purse closed and valuables secure in crowded tourist areas and on public transportation.
Don't rush your meals
Food is part of the Barcelona experience. Give yourself time to sit, enjoy a meal and have a coffee or tapas stop rather than rushing from attraction to attraction.
Explore beyond the famous landmarks
Make time for neighborhoods such as Example, Gràcia and the Gothic Quarter. Sometimes the neighborhood wandering is just as memorable as the attractions.
Use Barcelona as your home base
If you're staying several days, consider taking one or two day trips rather than moving hotels constantly.
